Mark Kennedy is the Owner and Managing Director of ETS Dental.
Our firm specializes in finding and placing Dentists and Dental Specialists with independent practices across the country. Our team at ETS Dental has assisted hundreds of practices in their search for Associates, Partners and even Buyers. Our business model is geared specifically to working with independent Dental practices rather than hospital systems or large Dental corporations. Because of this focus, both client practices and Dentist/Specialist candidates frequently tell us we have provided them more Associate candidates or Associate opportunities than any broker, consultant or recruiting firm they have ever come in contact with.

Years ago, it became very clear to me that the key to becoming a successful business or practice was building, retaining, and motivating a world-class team. I have started a business from scratch, moved to another state for a great opportunity and juggled the obligations of being a husband and a father of four while building a successful business.
As a professional recruiter, it is my job to find a long-term fit for my client practices and Associate candidates. When it comes to my clients, I realize there are few business decisions more important than finding the right Associate (potential partner or buyer) for their practice. When it comes to my candidates, I also realize there are few decisions that are more personal and more important than a career change.
Anyone can fax resumes. It takes a professional to truly understand the needs of both the hiring Dentist and Associate (potential partner/buyer) candidate.
My previous experience includes:
- Vice President of a Leading IT Contract Staffing Firm in the Southeast. With a contract staff of more that 160 IT Consultants and team of 16 Recruiters and Account Executives we made more than 300 placements annually.
- Director/General Manager of the OEM/Route Management Division of the World’s Leading High Security Lock Company. Customers included RBOC’s (Regional Bell Operating Companies), Municipalities, Bottlers and Original Equipment Manufactures of Safes, Lock Boxes, Encryption and Alarm Equipment, Pay Telephones, Vending Machines, and High Security Filing Systems.
- National Advertising Manager — National Advertising Manager for a Specialty Niche Insurance company. During my six years with this company, it grew from $17 million to over $530 million. Managed advertising support team of 12 people. Television campaigns ran in more than 100 US markets. Activities were tightly coordinated with thousands of local agent marketing programs.
- Market Research — Conducted database and direct marketing research projects for leading companies in the following industries: Personal Computers; Automobiles; Brokerage Services; Factory Automation Equipment; and Association Retirement programs.
I grew up on a grape farm in the Finger Lakes Area of New York State. I earned a BS in Business from Rochester Institute of Technology and an MBA from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH. My wife, Sharon, and I reside in Roanoke, Virginia, with our four great kids, Heather, David, Benjamin and Samantha.
